I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers and a Certified Play Therapist with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. I completed my Master’s of Social Work at the University of Calgary, in 2008. My career started in community and international development. I found that I was particularly drawn to engaging one on one with children, youth and caregivers which led me to pursuing a master's in Social Work and working as a counsellor.

I have supported families in Whitehorse and in communities across the Yukon, as well as internationally in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, England, Ghana and Zambia. My experience has been with governmental and non-governmental organizations alike, including the Yukon Government and Doctors without Borders. Over the past 10 years, I have held positions as a clinical counsellor with Mental Wellness and Substance Use Services, and as a social worker with Lynx Health Pediatrics and Psychiatry team.

I utilize a strengths-based, client-centered, trauma-informed, integrative approach. This means that I try to honour your strengths and goals in mapping out the therapy process. I draw from various therapy models and I enjoy using play, sandtray and art in sessions. When possible, I find it meaningful to have caregivers involved in their child's counselling.
