She/Her/Hers

The profound sense of knowing "this feels so right" is a difficult one to describe. Anyone who has experienced a powerful love or an intense commitment to something greater than oneself knows this. This is how I feel about my vocation. This was not the path I had embarked on, starting out in a Business Administration Program with the notion of getting into human resources. I quickly realized that helping people reach their potential and finding a fulfilled life is what fuels my spirit. I switched to Psychology and never looked back. Now, many years later, I hold a BA in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Master in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge. I have also completed Level 1 & 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and training in Emotion-Focused Therapy. These later studies inform my approach to supporting others to enchance their intimate relationships and grow their love for each other.
I believe in personal choice, empowerment and that each person has their own story. I will give you a good listening to and if there is a strategy in my toolbox that you might find useful and want to learn, you shall have it. I can offer service in English and German. My French used to be much more proficient as a younger woman; nevertheless, it has been useful at times to be able to grasp notions that are unique to the french language. Most of my counselling experience has been with individual youth and adults, couples and groups.
