I am very passionate about helping humanity in collaboration with each other. Helping others is natural to me because I believe we all need each other. My career has always been in the helping profession with a background in Nursing. When the winds of change swept across my professional life, my feet landed me in the mental health field and I now hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology.
I have lived in the Yukon two seeds short of a decade, and I have worked with people experiencing mental health, substance use and addiction issues here in the Yukon. I have also worked with people living with developmental and physical disabilities in various organizations.
I practice from the humanistic wave because I anchor my focus on maximum human potential and optimal wellbeing than shortcomings. Person Centered and Existential therapies are at the core of my work with individuals, and I am trained in CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
Drawing from my diverse experiences both personal and professional, I provide multicultural counselling and welcome individuals from marginalized groups including immigration, and workplace stresses.
Clinical Issues: Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorders, Personality Disorders, addictions, relationship issues, Trauma, Stress Management, Problem solving
On my leisure time, you will find me in my garden nurturing my plants, exploring nature with my beautiful children, writing poems and taking pictures in the wilderness, or spending time with my family.
