She/Her/Hers

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor and I welcome children, youth, adults, and families. I believe everyone is capable of growth and strive to develop collaborative relationships where clients feel safe to explore their strengths.
I have a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria. After completing my undergraduate degree, I supported children from birth to age 3 and their families in my work as an Infant Development Consultant in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and Surrey, BC. I also lived in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories where I ran a foster group home. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. I began my career in education, when I moved to Whitehorse, and completed my Bachelor of Education at Yukon University in 2018. I have worked in elementary, secondary, and alternative schools in Whitehorse as an educational assistant, teacher, and counsellor. I have professional training in expressive therapies (art, play, and 200hr Yoga Teaching Training), Trauma- Focussed Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and social-emotional learning.
I provide counselling support from a strengths-based, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed perspective. My approach to counselling is holistic and eclectic drawing from humanistic, expressive, solution-focussed, and cognitive-behavioural practices.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, exploring outdoors, reading, yoga, and weightlifting.
